Can Liners

You can find 2 types of can liners:

Low Density and High Density

Low Density Can Liners

Low density or linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) trash bags are thick, flexible and highly resistant to tearing and puncturing. They are ideal for kitchen trash or trash that includes glass, metal, wood, cardboard or other sharp, jagged or irregular shaped items.

Low density bags are measured in Mils which is one thousandth (.001) of an inch. A higher mil count means a thicker bag.

Black 60 Gal: 38" x 58" 1.2 Mil 100/Case

High Density Can Liners

High density polyethylene (HDPE) trash bags are thinner than low density and not as puncture resistant. However, they can still carry very heavy loads that are not rough-edged.

High density bags are a great choice for office and restroom waste, shredded paper and in public areas where sharp trash is not deposited.

High density bags can easily be identified by their clear appearance and crinkly feel.

High density bags are most often measured in Microns, which is one thousandth (.001) of a millimeter.

We stock:

Clear 12-16 Gal: 24" x 33" 8 Mic 1,000/Case
Clear 40-45 Gal: 33" x 40" 16 Mic 250/Case
Clear 56 Gal: 40" x 48" 16 Mic 250/Case

How to select the right size.

Bag Width

Use 1/2 of the outer circumference of the receptacle.

Bag Length

Use the height of the receptacle, plus 1/2 of the container bottom, plus 3 inches for overhang.

For square or rectangular receptacles, use the diagonal of the receptacle bottom rather than the diameter.
